Understanding delivery status

Distinguish between scheduled, sent, delivered, read or failed.

Where to find this feature: Messages / Offers and sending → Sending history

WhatsApp status

  • Scheduled or queued: delivery is still pending.
  • Sending: processing is in progress.
  • Sent: the message was accepted for sending; this is not yet proof of delivery.
  • Delivered: a corresponding delivery notification has been received.
  • Read: a read receipt was received. Not every message receives one.
  • Failed or undeliverable: the message could not be delivered successfully.
  • Unknown: the outcome is unclear. Check the actual status before sending again.

Email status and offer status are separate

An open or confirmed offer describes the offer process. The email status describes transport. An offer link may still exist even if email delivery failed.

Successful email sending does not automatically prove inbox receipt or reading. Image proxies can affect open tracking.

If problems occur

  1. Check the affected message, time and displayed status.
  2. Check the recipient, channel and template approval where applicable.
  3. If the outcome is unknown, do not send repeatedly. Wait for a status update or contact support with sanitised error details.
